Hello friends! My name is Emily White and I am a senior studying Early Childhood Education. I was born in Alabama and grew up in Belleville, Illinois before moving to North Dakota my freshman year. And no, I am still not used to North Dakota winters.
I have a lot of random hobbies which include singing, crocheting, cutting out snowflakes, dancing (both ballroom and random), reading, coloring, swimming, praying, and talking with and meeting new people. I am also a huge geek. I love board games, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Sherlock, and many more related things.
One of my main duties as Peer Minister is Head Sacristan. I am in charge of taking care of the Sacristy and Altar, as well as training sacristans to help prepare the Altar for Mass. This is my second semester as a Peer Minister and I am so excited to help plan more fun events that fit in with my Peer Minister philosophy of the Five F’s: faith, fun, fellowship, and free food! If you see me around the Newman Center, feel free to say hi! If you have any ideas for events, are interested in becoming a sacristan, or just want to chat, you can also email me at email@example.com. God Bless!
Hi, my name is Luke Eicher and I am a junior studying Mechanical Engineering here at UND. I grew up in St. Michael, Minnesota, and am the oldest in a family of seven. I enjoy hunting, fishing, playing piano, paintball/airsoft, board games, sports, and helping out with church events.
I am so blessed to be a part of the Newman Center here on campus by being a Peer Minister. The Newman Center has been a home away from home for me, and has been a place where I have made a lot of friends and have been able to grow stronger in my relationship with Christ. I am excited to be able to help welcome others here at the Newman and to be available to assist others.
I love meeting new people, so feel free to stop by the Peer Ministry office any time or to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to introduce yourself or ask questions!
Hey guys! My name is Ryan Dunnigan and this is my first year serving as a Peer Minister at the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center. I am a junior here at the University of North Dakota and am studying to be a middle school Science and Social Studies teacher. I am a North Dakota boy born and raised. I grew up in Bismarck and graduated from Century High School, Roll Pats!
My favorite hobbies all revolve around being outside. Hunting, fishing, and sports top my list of favorites and take up the majority of my spare time. I was a three-sport athlete in high school, playing soccer, basketball, and baseball. I have a great passion for sports and am always up for a good conversation about the big game. I consider the Newman Center my second home up here in Grand Forks as I find myself spending much of my down time hanging around the chapel or socializing in the game room. It is such a Christ-filled environment filled with people all pursuing the same goal of Divine Intimacy and personal relationship with our Lord and Savior.
I am around the Newman Center quite often throughout the week so if you are ever around and want to chat, stop on by the Peer Ministry office. You can also feel free to email me at email@example.com in case you ever have a prayer request or just want to talk. I am so blessed to be working at such an amazing place and cannot wait to help you all in any way I can. Peace!
Hello, my name is Maddie Pullen and it is my first year as peer minister at the Newman Center. My home town is Monticello, MN which is about an hour northwest of the cities. This year I am a sophomore majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders, so I plan on being a Speech Pathologist. I am also minoring in Spanish and hopefully I will be studying abroad in Costa Rica this summer.
When I have free time, I enjoy reading books, listening to music, and spending time outside. I listen to a variety of music, but country is a genre that I prefer not to listen to. I love jamming out in the car and going on spontaneous adventures. I am also excited to be a peer minister this year because I will get help put on events and help out with other little things to keep the feeling of a welcoming community. I come to the Newman Center often to hang out with friends, to do homework, and sing/pray in the chapel. I love being able to help others grow in their faith and helping them to incorporate it in daily life.
If you ever have any questions about getting involved or would like to chat you can stop by the Newman Center. You could can also get a hold of me at firstname.lastname@example.org
