Hola amigos! My name is Colton Steiner and this is my first year serving as a Peer Minister at the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center. I am a freshman at UND studying Medical Laboratory Science. I was born and raised in North Dakota and grew up on the western side of the state in Dickinson, where I graduated from Trinity High School as a proud Titan.
I love being outside and enjoy outdoor activities whenever I can, even during the winter. Some of my hobbies are hunting, fishing, camping, water sports, skiing, playing sports, and hanging out with friends. Even though I have only been at UND for a short while, the Newman Center has already impacted my life in a substantial way. I love spending my time at the Newman Center, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a Peer Minister. It has provided me with an abundance of lasting and Christ-filled memories, and I cannot wait to make more.
If you are ever around the Newman Center and want to talk, just stop on by the Peer Minister office, I’m usually around. If you can’t make it in, you can always email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. May God bless you!
Hello friends! My name is Emily White and I am a junior studying Early Childhood Education. I was born in Alabama and grew up in Belleville, Illinois before moving to North Dakota my freshman year. And no, I am still not used to North Dakota winters.
I have a lot of random hobbies which include singing, crocheting, cutting out snowflakes, dancing (both ballroom and random), reading, coloring, swimming, praying, and talking with and meeting new people. I am also a huge geek. I love board games, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Sherlock, and many more related things.
One of my main duties as Peer Minister is Head Sacristan. I am in charge of taking care of the Sacristy and Altar, as well as training sacristans to help prepare the Altar for Mass. This is my second semester as a Peer Minister and I am so excited to help plan more fun events that fit in with my Peer Minister philosophy of the Five F’s: faith, fun, fellowship, and free food! If you see me around the Newman Center, feel free to say hi! If you have any ideas for events, are interested in becoming a sacristan, or just want to chat, you can also email me at email@example.com. God Bless!
Hi, my name is Luke Eicher and I am a sophomore studying Mechanical Engineering here at UND. I grew up in St. Michael, Minnesota, and am the oldest in a family of seven. I enjoy hunting, fishing, playing piano, paintball/airsoft, board games, sports, and helping out with church events.
I am so blessed to be a part of the Newman Center here on campus by being a Peer Minister. The Newman Center has been a home away from home for me, and has been a place where I have made a lot of friends and have been able to grow stronger in my relationship with Christ. I am excited to be able to help welcome others here at the Newman and to be available to assist others.
I love meeting new people, so feel free to stop by the Peer Ministry office any time or to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to introduce yourself or ask questions!
