University students from North and South Dakota and Minnesota gathered in Hankinson, ND, for Spiritual Impact Bootcamp, a retreat designed to give students an intimate experience with the Holy Spirit. UND served as the "host campus" for the weekend, coordinating the majority of the logistics for this event.  Click here to see the rest of the photos from the weekend!
Sister Mary Gabriel & Mary Immaculata from the School Sisters of Christ the King made themselves available to Newman Center students for spiritual direction and offered talks on the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola. This is the second visit from religious orders this year. The Handmaids of the Heart of Jesus will return to campus after spring break.
The College Council of the Knights of Columbus at the Newman Center prepared and served breakfast for a full social hall at Newman after Masses last Sunday. Breakfasts and dinners scheduled regularly throughout the school year have provided opportunities for students to serve one another as well gather as a parish community.
The Newman Center hosted an organ clinic with Dr. Jay Hershberger, Director of Music for Saint Mary's Cathedral in Fargo, ND. This session was attended by local organists as well as students who use their gifts to lead the Newman Center in worship during weekend Masses, where students engage in a liturgy that encourages full, active, and conscious participation.
Beginning in June, we will welcome Traci Kulesa as the Director of the Newman House. Teresa is a graduate of the University of South Dakota and a FOCUS missionary finishing her 3rd year at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Current director, Julia Roush, looks forward to staying home full time with son, Paul.
Please keep in your prayers Father Meyer, FOCUS Missionaries, and the seven UND students spending their upcoming Spring Break on FOCUS Mission trips around the world, including Albania, El Salvador, and the Czech Republic.
Giving Hearts Day Results

With your support, the Newman Center was able to raise nearly $62,000 in a single day. Our sincere thanks to all who generously gave to our mission or shared their experiences of the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center with friends and family. We extend a special thank you to our matching gift donors who made it possible for your donations to be doubled on February 14th!
